Intensity of occupants' offensive has decreased, but even greater, - military expert on the battles in Bakhmut

The Ukrainian defenders of Bakhmut manage to withstand a significant enemy force. the invaders continue to lose personnel and equipment.

Andrey Kramarov, a military expert, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, during this, the enemy reduced the intensity of offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction.

the occupiers resort to assaults

Andrei Kramarov explained that the Russians still did not give up their attempts to capture Bakhmut.

That is, the number of attacks has almost halved. It is still very large, these are insane numbers of people and a large number of attacks, he is convinced.

In his opinion, the enemy continues to try to block the main supply route of the city of Bakhmut, making an assault.

“And they do not achieve significant success in this at all. There is no way for them to bring their artillery closer in order to take this route under full artillery control,” he stressed.

Kramarov added that the southwestern positions of the Russians are completely controlled by Ukrainian artillery, which is mainly located in the area of Vremenny Yar.

APU successfully work on the enemy

The military expert explained that the attempt of the Russians to storm the Bakhmutko River is something rather strange. They do not build a pontoon crossing, but physically storm the river.

“They went to that bridgehead, they were allowed to enter it, they were closed on the Right Bank. And our fighters control it on the Right Bank,” he noted.

There, the Russian military were destroyed not only thanks to Ukrainian artillery.

According to our fighters, it is Western melee weapons that work very effectively, for example, the same MK-14 mortars, with which our fighters at a distance of 1.5–2 kilometers simply cover them immediately in the place where they appear. , – the military expert focused his attention.

According to him, regarding the northern part of Bakhmut, the situation there is also difficult because of the industrial zone around.

“This large industrial zone is a place of warfare. This is close combat. The industrial zone does not allow us or them to effectively use large cannon artillery,” he added.

Kramarov said that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using the tactics of active defense in small groups, which was used in the defense of Kyiv, in particular, during the battles in Bucha and Irpin.

In small groups of SSOs, air assault troops, with the support of the Ground Forces holding their rear, they are very actively trying to knock out the enemy with maneuvers, inflicting a counterattack on him, he summed up.

So there are certain successes.

Counter-offensive actions

The military expert stressed that in Avdiivka the enemy also launched active assault actions, which are given to him at a high price.

According to him, due to the creation of a kind of “pincers” with which they try to bypass the dense ranks of the Ukrainian defense, the Russians expose their flanks.

And there, very south of Avdiivka, they suffered very significant losses, because they advanced, stretched their own front, after which they received a very good counterattack,” he explained.

There, the enemy lost a significant part of his equipment, being surrounded.

“As for our counter-offensive actions, they are now taking place most of all in the northern direction of Bakhmut,” he stressed.

The military expert noted that Orekhovo is one of our logistics chains, which the Russians have been attacking for the third week in a row.

What they were trying to achieve in 24 hours, within half an hour, they lose hours, he is convinced.

According to him, the T-62 2022 modernization tank was already seen in the battles near Bakhmut.

Preparing Ukraine for a counteroffensive

  • Oppositionist Piontkovsky believes that the dismissal of Ukraine will begin with the dismissal of Melitopol and Berdyansk. Then there will be access to the coast, the transformation of the Crimea and the occupied parts of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into a huge cauldron of the Russian army.
  • Earlier, the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, said that Ukraine needs to buy time for a spring counteroffensive, which is just around the corner.
  • Military expert Andrey Kramarov said that delivery dates have already been agreed with Western equipment needed for the counteroffensive. Now the logistics process is underway. At the last Rammstein, the main issue was ammunition.
