Invincible people: more than 8,000 Ukrainians signed up to volunteer rescuers/State Emergency Service of Ukraine

Only within 6 days after the launch of registration for the volunteer battalion of the State Emergency Service, more than 8 thousand citizens volunteered to help rescuers.

More than half of the volunteers came from Kyiv and Kievskaya areas. Moreover, Ukrainians have already begun to cut off phones with calls like: “I registered, when will they call me to work?” > Help. Citizens wishing to join the initiative should sign up for voluntary civil protection formations.

Due to mining, it is impossible to involve everyone in the work at once

The State Emergency Service said that the indifference of Ukrainians is striking and inspiring. At the same time, they asked to take into account that local authorities and self-government bodies cannot involve everyone in the work at the same time.

Due to the dense mining of settlements and ecosystems by Russian troops, as well as the presence of numerous booby traps and disguised explosive devices, it is impossible to quickly clear the territories for further auxiliary work on the removal of rubble, the State Emergency Service explained.

The department stressed that Ukraine values the life of every citizen. Therefore, the deminers work non-stop to ensure a safe working environment for the volunteers.
