The politician believes that the perpetrators should be punished for all crimes.

In connection with the decision of the International Criminal Court, it will be very difficult for Vladimir Putin to move around the world in the near future, since there are many countries supporting the ISS and in which there are obligations to arrest the Russian president.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Great Britain Dominic Raab, writes BBC.

“It will be, as I suspect, a long process, but the same was said about Yugoslavia, about Rwanda, and many people responsible for the bloodshed ended up in court. I think that in the near future it will be very difficult for President Putin to move around the world,” Raab said.

He stressed that now it is important that those members of the international community who support the ISS make sure that the court has sufficient support in the investigation, in the forensic examination, in interviewing witnesses.

Recall that the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued international warrants for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin , as well as children's rights commissioner Maria Lvovskaya-Belova. They are accused of illegal deportation of the population and children from the territory of Ukraine to Russia.

“Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, is responsible for the war crime of illegal deportation of the population (children) and illegal transfer of the population (children) from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation,” the press service of the court said in a statement.

The court's report also notes that “there are reasonable grounds to believe that Putin bears individual criminal responsibility for the aforementioned crimes” – through direct participation, actions in concert with others, or through failure to exercise proper control over civilian and military subordinates.

Approximately this is the basis for issuing an arrest warrant for Maria Lvova-Belova, who has been authorized by the Russian Federation for children's rights since 2021, with the exception of the clause on “inability to exercise proper control over military subordinates.”

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrei Kostin said that after the decision of the Hague court, Putin becomes restricted to leave Russia. According to him, now world leaders should think three times before shaking hands with Putin and sitting down with him at the negotiating table.

Russia has said it will never recognize the decision of the International Criminal Court to arrest Vladimir Putin. According to the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, “the decision of the court has no meaning for the Russian Federation, either politically or legally.”

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden , said that the decision of the Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court to issue a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin was justified.
