Lavrov confused the Luhansk region with the state of Laos and noted other absurdities at the UN
Sergey Lavrov continues to demonstrate that he has completely fallen out of reality. This time he made a number of absurd statements during his speech at the UN.
Details about Lavrov's “epic” speech
Lavrov , who nevertheless received a US visa to participate in the UN General Assembly, seems to have forgotten his memory pills at home. Because during his speech he announced some kind of mythical referendum on the territory of the Kharkiv region. This despite the fact that the heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine drove the occupiers from there so that the ground was burning under their feet.
In addition, Lavrov confused the Luhansk region with Laos. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry called the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine “Lao region”. Also, Lavrov only on the second attempt was able to correctly name the Zaporozhye region.
For dessert, the Russian minister said that the so-called referendums would not have happened if Vladimir Zelensky “hadn't started expelling the Russians.” It seems that at that moment Lavrov's fantasy let him down, because he did not come up with any details of such an “epic” situation.
Lavrov also sold out so much that he openly threatened the “nuclear doctrine”. Dmitry Kuleba, head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, said that Ukraine would not succumb and called on the world not to tolerate such threats.
