Lego promised to free its toys from gender stereotypes

The Lego group company intends to deliver its own constructors “gender independent”.

“The company is committed to making Lego play more inclusive and not letting gender stereotypes restrict children's creativity now and in the future,” the company said in a statement on its website.

As the website kp.ru wrote, in the winter of 2021, Democrats in the US House of Representatives proposed to establish new rules for addressing each other in the legislature. In particular, delete the pronouns “he” and “she” from the lexicon, replacing them with the gender-neutral words “representative” or “delegate”.

Earlier, University of Pennsylvania professors voted to eliminate the use of the terms “freshman”, “sophomore” and “senior” in descriptions of courses and programs, considering them sexist.

Meanwhile, in the UK, supporters of sexual minorities are demanding employers to abandon the word “mom”.
