Many ethnic Ukrainians have returned to Ukraine over the past few years. One of them is Alexander Luzenko. He not only joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also tore and burned his Russian passport.

Alexander Luzenko worked for 9 years in the Emergency Situations Service in Russia. During his service, he saved more than one life, but now he is in Ukraine. And here he is fighting for his homeland.

He wished Russia to burn with a bright flame

He returned to Ukraine in 2017. And now he calls himself a former citizen of Russia. The man could not come to terms with the Russian attack on his homeland, as well as the fact that the invaders kill adults and children in his native country. Therefore, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is ready to defend his land.

He also decided to renounce ties with Russia once and for all. To do this, I tore and burned my passport and military ID.

I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend my Motherland! And I'm tearing up my Russian passport in front of your eyes. Let Russia burn as brightly as its documents burn,” he stressed.

The SBU notes that Alexander Luzenko was taken into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after a series of thorough checks. We consider his act courageous and are grateful to him for having returned to his homeland and is ready to defend it from invaders.
