Hot rumors about Robert Lewandowski! The Bayern star should be looking for a new challenge. But it won't be easy.
According to “Sky”, the Bayern striker, who turned 33 on Saturday, wants to move to another top European club before his 35th birthday. But which one could it be? Agent Pini Zahavi is said to have offered the Poles three clubs in the Premier League, but the response has not been particularly enthusiastic.
“Lewandowski has been offered to Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, all of whom have expressed an interest in the player in order to sign him,” said England insider Ian McGarry on his Transfer Window podcast. But all three have the same problem with “Lewa”: It is too expensive.
Bayern only want to let him go for at least 117 million euros, Lewandowski's contract does not expire until 2023. But given the age, no club wants to pay that amount. In addition, the Munich ruled out a change for 2021. Coach Julian Nagelsmann said of Lewandowski's training assignment: “A player who doesn't feel comfortable and absolutely wants to leave would definitely not do that.”
