Lithuania's new package of military assistance to Ukraine

Lithuania since the beginning of the full-scale invasion Russia expresses support to Ukraine – it transfers weapons. Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas said that his country has prepared a new military aid package for Ukraine.

Lithuania will provide Ukraine with additional M113 and M577 armored personnel carriers, as well as ammunition.

In the near future, Lithuania will provide Ukraine with additional military assistance: M113, M577, ammunition for the preparation of the reserve and other necessary support,” he wrote.

The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense added that his country proposes to organize large-scale military training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lithuania is ready to train military police and demining specialists.

What kind of military assistance has Lithuania already provided

The Minister recalled that Lithuania has already provided Ukraine with:

• a batch M113;
• Stinger man-portable air defense systems;
• anti-tank weapons;
• body armor and helmets;
• 120 mm mortars;
• small arms, ammunition, thermal imagers, drones, anti-drones, surveillance radars, trucks, SUVs;
• Bayraktar TB2 attack drone with ammunition, bought with money raised by the Lithuanians.

In total, Lithuania's military aid is already $123 million.
