Magnitude 5.7 earthquake hits Alaska

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck southeast Alaska. This was reported by the US Geological Survey, TASS reports.

Seismologists have recorded tremors 27 km from the town of Cantwell, north of Anchorage. The source of the element lay at a depth of 77 kilometers.

The emergency services reported that no damage was recorded as a result of the earthquake, no one was injured. The tsunami threat was also not announced.

Yesterday it became known that Russian seismologists recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 in Kamchatka.
