McDonald's announced the second phase of the resumption of work in Ukraine: where will open establishments
The McDonald's network resumes the work of a number of establishments in the South and East of Ukraine. This will take place during March-April.
The next stage of recovery requires the resumption of supplies. The organization of logistics takes more time, the company explained in a statement.
Where will McDonald's restaurants open?
First of all, they are considering the possibility of opening restaurants in Odessa – at the end of March, and in the Dnieper – at the end of April. In addition, institutions want to open in a number of other cities.
True, the plans of the company may change. It depends on the situation in the situation in cities and regions. Restaurants will operate in accordance with enhanced security protocols that have been introduced in all open establishments in Ukraine.
What preceded this
- Following a full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, the McDonald's chain closed all of its locations in Ukraine. The company noted that they do this for security reasons.
- In May, McDonald's announced that fast food outlets would not reopen until after the war.
- However, representatives of the company stated that they were not averse to “opening up”, but according to the rules, they could not work during the war. Then even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined the negotiations on the opening of restaurants.
- Already in September, restaurants began to open. On September 20, the first three McDonald's establishments started operating, and on September 30, the company announced the opening of the first 10 halls in Kyiv.
