Microsoft explained the design change in Windows 11

The most notable innovation in Windows 11 will be design. The system will get a new start menu and taskbar. Microsoft has explained why they will look like this and not differently in the new operating system.

The updated Start menu will not have live tiles, and the icons on the taskbar will be centered.

Microsoft says it wants to create a universal interface that works for both tablets and desktops. The decision to center the Start menu and taskbar is due to decades of research by the Microsoft team. 40 designers participated in them.

It should be noted that everyone will be able to return the “Start” back to the lower left corner. But, probably, someone will find the new design really more convenient.
