Microsoft will require employees and office visitors to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. This is reported by The Verge.
“Beginning in September, we will also require proof of vaccination for all employees, vendors, and any guests entering Microsoft buildings in the US, and a staff placement process will be secured. We continue to analyze the situation at the local level in each region / country / state where we operate, and if necessary, we will adjust the dates and rules, ”the letter says.
The company clarified that the rules will be adjusted only for certain categories of office employees who cannot be vaccinated against coronavirus for medical or religious reasons. The estimated date for the opening of Microsoft offices in the United States – no earlier than October 4 this year.
Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the American states, against the background of an increase in the number of cases of infection with COVID-19, began to tighten the requirements for mandatory vaccination. This policy is primarily due to the fact that the administration of US President Joe Biden is exploring the possibility of removing federal subsidies from institutions with unvaccinated employees, encouraging them to introduce mandatory vaccinations.
