Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that in the near future there will be no analogs to the Russian MS-21 aircraft in the world.
Speaking at the New Knowledge marathon, the politician noted that the country had difficulties with aircraft construction after the collapse of the USSR, but in the early 2000s, the aviation industry began to revive.
– Our country was able to overcome difficulties, and the MC-21 aircraft is a clear confirmation of this. A really good car was built, the best among the passenger airliners of this class. For the first time in the world, a composite wing has been used for aircraft of this capacity, ”Mishustin said.
He added that Russian designers have quickly introduced and patented a unique vacuum infusion technology. In addition, the aircraft has the widest fuselage in its class.
“Our competitors will not have anything like that in the near future,” the Prime Minister summed up.
Earlier, the United Aircraft Corporation confirmed reports that the start of serial deliveries of MS-21 passenger aircraft was postponed to 2022. The corporation explained that the pace of the project was influenced by trade restrictions that affected the supply of materials for the production of a composite wing. We are talking about US sanctions against the company “Aerocomposite”, which is part of the UAC.
