Moldova also intends to become a member of the EU in the future. The country has already completed filling in the questionnaire, which is part of the procedure for obtaining the status of a candidate country for membership.

At about 11:00, the ceremony of presenting the completed questionnaire to the EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeiks began at the administration of President Mai Sandu.

Note that the country received the questionnaire on April 11 at the same time as Georgia. Moldova and Georgia decided to apply for EU membership following Ukraine, which took this step after the start of the Russian invasion. Moldova signed an application for EU membership on March 3.
