The MFA of Moldova does not confirm data on the mobilization of Russian troops in Transnistria

The General Staff reported that Putin is trying to attract at least some help to the war in Ukraine. In particular, it does this in the unrecognized Transnistria.

At the same time, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry stated that so far there is no information confirming the mobilization of troops in the Transnistrian region.

The authorities will continue monitoring and exchanging information with our partners to ensure the safety of our citizens, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Recall that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that Russia will activate troops in unrecognized Transnistria to carry out provocations and demonstrations on the border with Ukraine. There is a redeployment of Russian troops and units of the so-called Pridnestrovian-Moldovan Republic.

As explained in the department, such actions of the enemy pursue preparations for demonstrating the readiness of the offensive and, possibly, hostilities against Ukraine.
