Moldova reminded that the country's airspace has been closed since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine

Moldovan airspace is almost closed to aircraft/EADaily

The network began to disseminate information about the closure of airspace over Moldova. This was associated with explosions in the occupied part of the country – in Transnistria.

The Moldovan Civil Aviation Administration issued a statement explaining the situation with the closed airspace over the country. They recalled that it had been closed since the start of Russia's war against Ukraine.

Only on March 21, part of the country's airspace was opened for civil aviation. But only in a westerly direction.

For this reason, as well as the fact that the airspace of Ukraine remains closed to civil aviation, planes almost do not fly over Moldova.

The situation with Transnistria

The Russian military said they plan to seize the South of Ukraine and go to Transnistria, which is considered to be the territory of Moldova occupied by Russia. This is the territory on the border between Ukraine and Moldova, where the Kremlin has an army under its control, as well as ammunition depots. This warehouse in the village of Kolbasna is perhaps the largest in Eastern Europe, and stores ammunition for Soviet-made equipment.

Russia can use the army from Transnistria to attack Ukraine.

25 and On April 26, several provocations took place in Pridnestrovie. The first of them was an explosion in the building of the so-called Ministry of State Security in Tiraspol, the next day the antennas that broadcast Russian frequencies were damaged.
