US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that 9 countries are ready to transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine. That is, the international tank coalition in support of Ukraine continues to grow.

What is known about the transfer of Leopard tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The coalition of those who promised to provide Ukraine with Leopard tanks continues to grow. Nine countries have now pledged to provide more than 150 Leopard tanks, the head of the Pentagon said at an online meeting in the Rammstein format.
Moreover, a representative of the Polish government, Piotr Muller, said at a press conference that several countries are already ready to join the coalition for the transfer of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. However, the official did not say which countries are mentioned and how many MiGs they can provide. True, somewhat oriented in terms.
Over the next few weeks, we are ready to make such a decision in several countries that have decided to take a similar step, the speaker said.
As for other details, he explained that he could only confirm that these decisions were taken by several countries, and that it was not his role to report this on behalf of these countries.
“We already have clear declarations about which countries it will be, but we agreed that they will announce such a decision on their own terms and according to their own procedures,” Muller assured.
Question MiG-29 is considered by Slovakia
Already on March 15, the Slovak publication Pravda announced that the Slovak government had already begun to discuss the issue of transferring its old MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. Several ministers confirmed this information to the press before the meeting.
This will definitely be discussed,” Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy said.
He also assured that he would be able to comment on this issue in more detail only after the meeting.
Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy said that the country's government has enough competence to decide on the transfer of aircraft.
What is known about aircraft for Ukraine
- Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia Veronika Remishova said that Bratislava actually no longer needs these aircraft: “It would be best for Slovakia to give them to Ukraine.”
- It should be noted that 10 out of 11 Soviet-made Slovak MiG-29 aircraft, which the Slovak army removed from service in 2022, were mentioned.
- In addition, Poland has 28 such aircraft in service, of which 22 are MiG-29A and six more are MiG-29UB.
- Moreover, regarding the F-16 aircraft, Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that Warsaw does not have the opportunity to provide any of its 48 F-16s, because this would require a joint decision of NATO members. Despite this, Ukraine has repeatedly asked countries to provide F-16s as well, because they are necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to win.
