More than 30 Congressmen Demand Biden to Give Ukraine More Missiles and Aircraft/Getty Images

Congressmen are pushing for the Biden administration to expand the weaponry provided to the Ukrainian military. In particular, they insist on additional planes.

Against the background of Volodymyr Zelensky's demands to help with a large number of weapons, more than 30 congressmen wrote a corresponding letter.

What weapons are required to be provided

The list includes long-range missiles, fighter jets and anti-ship missiles. The request is based on a wish list Ukrainian officials provided last week, the congressmen said.

The request also noted an increase in supplies of Stinger anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles, as well as long-range drones.

Politicians acknowledged that the US and allies have already provided significant military assistance, including a portion of $13.6 billion. However, more needs to be done to win.

Ukraine needs additional aviation

The legislators noted that there are more than enough pilots in Ukraine. Therefore, additional aviation will allow the Ukrainian forces to provide adequate defense of cities such as Kharkiv and Mariupol, where many civilians have died as a result of Russian attacks. /h3>
