The Wagner Private Military Company has recruited over 1,000 prisoners to fight Ukraine. We attracted 17 Russian colonies.

Many of them were in maximum security prisons, which are located in remote areas. Investigators even found out that businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin came to one of the colonies. It is believed that he is the head of the Wagner PPK.

How mercenaries are recruited

Relatives of prisoners told how the recruitment takes place. For example, a special training center for mercenaries was set up on the territory of one of the prisons. They study there for 20 hours a day.

The recruiters call on the prisoners to “defend their homeland.” But they promise “golden mountains”. In particular, a salary of about 200 thousand rubles a month, sick leave – 300 thousand rubles and the so-called “coffin” – 5 million.

They promise pardon

In addition, after six months of service, prisoners are promised pardon from Putin. According to investigators, it is impossible to refuse. The prisoners are under pressure. Those who go against are sent to punishment cells.

When the recruiters left the institution, the head of the institution advised them to “think carefully and refuse” the offer to join the ranks of the PIK fighters,” the investigators note .

Probably, Russia is so actively recruiting mercenaries because of insane losses.
