Moscow time in the temporarily occupied territories: a new law is being prepared in Russia

The temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, which the occupiers cynically call “new regions of Russia”, are planned to be switched to Moscow time. By the way, this is what the Russians did in Crimea in 2014.

This decision was reported in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the aggressor. According to the department, it should “come into force” soon.

Transfer of the occupied regions to Moscow time

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia stated that the captured the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions should soon switch to Moscow time. It is reported that the corresponding draft law has already been submitted to the government of the aggressor country.

The stage-by-stage synchronization of Russian legislation continues after the “acceptance” of 4 new subjects. In the near future, the “DPR”, “LPR”, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will become part of the second time zone, where Moscow time operates, the ministry wrote.

Such a decision may seem spontaneous and ill-considered. However, Russia already did the same in 2014 – then it introduced Moscow time in the annexed Crimea.

What will change

It should be noted that Moscow time (UTC + 3) is somewhat different from Kyiv. It does not change during the year.

In Ukraine, we also have UTC + 3 in summer, and UTC + 2 in winter. That is, in winter, the time difference is 1 hour.

The invaders mobilize Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories

  • Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar told how the Russians mobilize in the occupied regions . According to her, the military leadership of the aggressor country throws the mobilized to the front line without providing them with the necessary military training.
  • It is the mobilized, according to Anna Malyar, who suffer from neglect and violence from the infidels more. The Russian military beat Ukrainians who were forcibly mobilized, because of which they often die.
  • Human rights activist Pavel Lisyansky toldChannel 24that the invaders are holding a medical commission for all men under the age of 60 years old. Even 16-17-year-olds are called in for checks and forbidden to leave the temporarily occupied territory.
