An accident occurred in the power system of Georgia, as a result of which most of the country was left without electricity. This was reported on Facebook by the State Electricity System of Georgia JSC.

“Due to the shutdown of the 400-kilowatt Meskheti transmission line linking the power systems of Georgia and Turkey, the import of electricity from Turkey was interrupted, as a result of which the electricity supply was cut off in most of the country,” the statement said.

The company added that they are working to fix the problem.
