An inter-faculty course in the study of artificial intelligence will become mandatory for students of Moscow State University, according to the order of the university's rector, Viktor Sadovnichy. The text of the document was published on the page of the trade union organization of the university in VKontakte.
The course will be required for all full-time students in any semester in their third year undergraduate, first year graduate, or third and fourth years of specialization. Students will be able to enroll in the course through their personal account.
At the end of July, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced the development of an educational module on information technology and the development of artificial intelligence. The goal of the program is to help students expand their knowledge of artificial intelligence and its applications.
The National Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence until 2030 was approved by President Vladimir Putin in 2019. The document says that thanks to the introduction of technological solutions, the growth of the world economy in 2024 will be at least $ 1 trillion.
