According to Pelosi, the attempts of the head of the White House to put pressure on the president of Ukraine can be regarded as an appeal to a foreign state to organize new interference in the US elections.

The ruling Communist Party of China considers self-governing democratic Taiwan to be its territory, although it has never ruled over it. The PRC does not rule out using force to reunite the island with the Chinese mainland.
We would like to once again warn the United States that we are fully prepared and solemnly waiting. The People's Liberation Army will never sit idly by. As for what measures we will take, we will wait and see if she decides to make this visit, – said the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Zhao Lijian.
Recall that military preparations for a possible clash have been going on for about a week. China conducted military exercises with firing near Taiwan. Taiwan, on the other hand, took to the skies its fighters and deployed air defense systems.
The United States also decided to additionally protect the speaker: the plane from Pelosi was escorted by the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan and fighters. Also earlier, US National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that the Joe Biden administration would support Nancy Pelosi if she did go to Taiwan.
