NATO troops shoot from MLRS near the Russian border

NATO conducted the Swift Response 2021 exercise a few dozen kilometers from the Russian borders. Within their framework, the military conducted live firing from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The shooting was carried out by servicemen of the first battalion of the 77th Field Artillery Regiment of the US Army, writes Voennoye Obozreniye. The M270 MLRS was used in the exercise. This is an American universal launcher used as a MLRS. In addition to rockets, it can also fire tactical missiles. The M270 MLRS itself is mounted on a tracked chassis with a cruising range of up to 500 kilometers. The salvo time is approximately 48 seconds.

Journalists note that military personnel from the United States, Britain and Estonia are now participating in the exercises. Then they will be joined by British paratroopers.
