The Russian military continues to advance daily in the Donetsk region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that near Avdiivka, the invaders are already running out of steam, having suffered frantic losses.

Aleksey Dmitrashkovsky, speaker of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, emphasized this during the telethon. He noted that the Russian invaders continue to attack Avdiivka, Channel 24 reports.

The number of attacks has been significantly reduced

According to Dmitrashkivsky, in the Avdeevka area it is not “too hot”. At the same time, it should be understood that the enemy continues to attack the settlement and seeks to encircle it. In addition, hostilities continue in the direction of Maryinka.

Over the past day, on March 23, the enemy made 31 attacks in the Donetsk direction. Of these, 15 fell on Avdeevsky (7 of which were carried out at night). Interestingly, about 2 weeks ago, it was not about 31, but about 95 attacks.

The speaker emphasized that there had been no loss of territory over the past night. He also expressed the hope that nothing will change, if not better at all.

We can say that the enemy has already exhausted its main forces. Suffered quite a large loss of personnel and equipment. Over the past 24 hours alone, the enemy has lost more than three companies of personnel killed and wounded,” Dmitrashkovsky emphasized.

He noted that last week the invaders had to attract reserves. We are talking about a unit of the 98th airborne brigade and 2 tank companies.

More calmly in the Ugledar direction

Dmitrashkovsky noted that the Ugledar direction today can be considered somewhat calmer. At least when compared with Avdeevsky and Maryinsky.

According to the speaker, the enemy also suffered considerable losses in manpower and equipment there. Dmitrashkovsky suggested that the invaders there needed time to recover and replenish the reserve.

At the same time, he noted that the Russians may not recover in this direction. This is facilitated by the regular “cotton” in Melitopol and Berdyansk. After all, there the Armed Forces of Ukraine get into command posts and ammunition depots and enemy manpower.
