“Need for yesterday”: Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said what Ukraine lacks to repel enemy assaults
Russia uses massive assaults at the front, not sparing the lives of its military. Ukraine really needs resources to stop the invasion of enemy manpower.
This was told to Channel 24 by a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, a major in the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a military expert Alexei Getman. According to him, this issue was raised at Ramstein-10.
As Hetman noted, the 10th meeting of Ukraine's allies in the Ramstein format, which took place online on March 15, was more technical.
What was discussed at “Ramstein-10”
At this meeting, Ukraine focused on the need for artillery shells and cartridges – that is, everything that makes it possible to shoot and conduct counter-battery combat.
Tanks and planes are very good. Everything is going according to plan here. But according to estimates, we need three times more shells than we can now receive, – said the major of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He noted that, as far as is known, our partners in the anti-Putin coalition agreed to help meet the needs of Ukraine.

Logistics challenges
According to him, during Rammstein-10, schemes were worked out on how to supply Ukraine with more shells.
It is necessary that these small “streams” flow into Ukraine. There may be some logistical difficulties. We are talking about supposedly small things, but they significantly affect the process,” Hetman said.
The military expert explained that, for example, it is necessary to increase the number of vehicles that will carry these shells. We also need more movers. Ukraine is now working on these important details together with international partners.
It is important for Ukraine to establish parity in shelling with Russia
The major of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that Ukraine now really needs shells.
This is what we need today – for yesterday. We need to establish parity in shots with Russia,” Hetman said.
Of course, it would be better if Ukraine had an advantage in the number of artillery shells.
“Moreover, we have more accurate cartridges. We can do more harm to the Russians with our shots than they do to us with their own,” the military expert said.
