The spusu Capitals have started the season
298 days are enough! After a long break, fans of the spusu Vienna Capitals were allowed to go to the ice rink again.
500 spectators greeted the Viennese ice hockey cracks loudly at the start of the preparations for the season – under a new head coach. Steve Barr led the first unit in Kagran, for which he arrived just in time.
“I landed in the morning, then I went straight to the hall,” reports the 60-year-old Canadian, who was impressed by the atmosphere.
“The players couldn't hear my instructions every now and then. But that's okay,” he grinned.
The first impression of his cracks fits. “I'm happy with the speed, the attitude and the technical level,” said Barr. The first test will take place at Slovan Bratislava on Friday (6 p.m.).
Comeback captain Mario Fischer announces: “We will play refreshing ice hockey.”
