He stressed that the Russians in Crimea are an occupying society. There is a military part of the occupation and a public part of the occupation, which simply took away buildings and houses from Ukrainians.

Podolyak recalled that in 1999, when the second Chechen war began, all the explosions of residential buildings in Moscow or other Russian cities, where many people died, were made by the Russian special services to justify the war.

“They do the same today, so we must understand this and be prepared for such provocations,” he said.

But Podolyak assures – what happened on August 9 in the Crimea, will hit Russia's plans to mobilize the population. Therefore, it is important that there be more such panic among Russians.

According to him, the Russians say they destroy 100 Ukrainian planes or 25 submarines somewhere in the steppes a day. However, they add that it was a “small detonation”.

Podolyak assured that the Ukrainian army is attacking Russian targets with precision weapons and thus disrupting any support for Russian troops .

In his opinion, Russia is only now beginning to understand what kind of war it has received.

“After all, the Russians “came” for 3-7 days, but I still don't understand whether the three days for which they wanted to capture Kyiv have already passed. Maybe we just misunderstand these days. Perhaps they have one day – this is half a year, “added Podolyak.

Why negotiations with Russia are now impossible

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office says that Ukraine will by no means negotiate with Russia in the current situation. The new conditional “Minsk-3” can literally destroy the state.

He notes that the occupiers do not just constantly throw in the opinion that Ukraine needs to be forced to sit down at the negotiating table. They want to secure the occupied territories. And then just finish off the state.

If today we fix a new demarcation line on the conditional Minsk-3, we will get not Ukraine, but the infamous Ruin, – emphasizes Mikhail Podolyak.

He believes that the consequences for Ukraine from such negotiations will be catastrophic. Here are a few potential options for what happens next in this case:

• Russia will believe that it has won.
• Russia will constantly provoke and threaten Ukraine regarding the following stages of war, escalation, etc.
• Russia will not abandon further plans to occupy the entire Black Sea area.
• All money will leave Ukraine. No one will invest in a state that has “frozen” in a full-scale war.
• People will not return. No one wants to go, for example, to Kharkov or Nikolaev, where shelling can resume at any moment.

Podolyak notes that the state will begin to decline sharply. Ukraine will not be able to restore export potential in agriculture, metallurgy, chemistry, etc. There will be problems with electricity, because the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will be under the control of infidels.

“There will be a huge number of problems. Therefore, all this talk about negotiations that need to start already is actually talk about Ukraine ceasing to exist. If not because of the war , then because of the rapid decline,” Mikhail Podolyak emphasized.

According to him, if there are negotiations, but Ukraine rejects Russia's ultimatums, this will also not give anything, but will only aggravate the situation. “Conditionally, Russia will demand to reject claims to Kherson and other occupied territories. Of course, Ukraine will not agree to this at all,” he replied.

In his opinion, it is quite possible that there will be a certain truce at the front during the negotiations. When Ukraine sees that it is impossible to reach an agreement with Russia on adequate terms, it will have to resume hostilities. And then the invaders will begin to hysteria en masse that Ukraine is interested in the war.

Imagine that the negotiation process lasts 7 days. During this time, the occupiers will show no shelling of the territories – there will be a certain calm. When we give up Russia's demands, we will resume hostilities. And what will Russia say? They will scream hysterically in all the European media that have gone to a truce, and Ukraine wants to fight. Podolyak's reaction to Indonesia's proposal for negotiations. The day before, the president of this country said that if Putin came and Zelensky came to the summit in Indonesia, perhaps he would be ready to become a mediator for them.

According to him, it sounds amazing when the person does not comment on the Russia-Ukraine war at all, but suggests this.

“It’s generally strange for me when someone says “I’m ready to be a mediator.” What do you understand in the word “mediator”? What will you do? You can definitely talk or take a general photo by heart and say that there was mediation. “, – said the adviser to the head of the President's Office.

Mikhail Podolyak noted that it is important to remember that Putin thinks absolutely irrationally. He does not understand what is happening at all, and also there is no whole amount of information. This distinguishes him from Vladimir Zelensky, who really has all the information: the motives for the war, the consequences, how it should end.

” Putin still lives in the illusion that controls the process. In addition, he has such a super mental goal – to go down in history as a powerful emperor, a collector of lands,” Mykhailo Podolyak emphasized.

He noted that Ukraine has a very difficult mission. After all, no one can stop Russia except us in its current form.Ukraine is the only country that clearly understands what the Russians are doing, who they are, why they need to be stopped and why we will pay the highest price to do it.

On Russia's nuclear blackmail at the Zaporozhye NPP

However, Podolyak believes that Russia's claims that it will take the Ukrainian nuclear power plant is partly blackmail.

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office noted that the ZNPP is the territory of Ukraine, it is attached to us and was supplied by us. “And Russia is looking for ways to steal grain, metal and electricity from us and send it to the Crimea. We will not allow it,” he replied.

As for nuclear blackmail , Podolyak stressed that the Russians defiantly bypass the territory of the ZNPP and import heavy weapons to industrial territories, make artillery shells warehouses there.

“Do we have any tools there is, to remove them from there. After all, the pressure of the world community, in particular the G7, has increased significantly in recent days, which frankly speaks in order to return the Zaporizhzhya NPP to Ukraine,” he said.
