The Novaya Gazeta website was subjected to a DDoS attack. This was reported in the publication's Telegram channel.
“At 14:45 Moscow time, the Novaya Gazeta website underwent a DDoS attack, but coped with it. By 15:06 Moscow time, the attack power increased even more. The traffic has reached 3 gigabits per second, ”the newspaper writes.
The report says that they tried to open the Novaya Gazeta website up to 550 thousand times a second. The cybercriminals managed to figure out the server address, after which they attacked its IP addresses directly, the publication reports.
“We are preparing a backup IP address that will rise immediately with maximum protection against DDoS attacks. About time: DNS settings are always written in such cases: from several minutes to several hours. We expect that novayagazeta.ru will be available at most within the next hour, ”the newspaper added.
Earlier, the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, reported about hacker attacks. According to her, most of the DDos attacks on the electronic voting system were recorded from the United States (50%) and Germany (25%), as well as from Korea (20%) and China (5%). The chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to conduct an investigation on this matter.
