Nurmagomedov called Macron a creature and turned to Muslims

Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov on Instagram called French President Emmanuel Macron a beast and appealed to Muslims.

“May the Almighty disfigure the face of this creature and all his followers, who, under the slogan of freedom of speech, offend the feelings of more than one and a half billion Muslim believers,” wrote Nurmagomedov, attaching a photo of Macron with a shoe imprint on him. He considered that provocations against the Islamic world will not pass without leaving a trace.

On October 29, several armed attacks took place in France: immigrants from Islamic countries, armed with knives, attacked churches and policemen. The attacks followed Macron's speech, in which he denounced the “crisis of Islam” and criticized the quality of the integration of visiting Muslims into French society.

The reason for the speech of the French president was the assassination of school teacher Samuel Pati. His head was cut off because, as part of a free speech program, he showed his students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad – the very ones for which the supporters of the Islamic State (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) shot the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo magazine.

Nurmagomedov is the UFC lightweight champion. On October 24, he defeated American Justin Gage and announced his retirement from the sport.
