Invaders in Crimea are spreading information about a possible Ukrainian offensive on the peninsula

Russian invaders are afraid of a Ukrainian offensive in Crimea

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, part of the military in the Crimea went over to the side of Russia. And they stayed there. In 2014 they helped occupy the island. And now they are worried about the possible offensive of the Ukrainian army to liberate him.

It was from Crimea that the Russian army invaded the South of Ukraine. Their task was to first capture Kherson and Nikolaev, and then go to Odessa and Mariupol.

And from the Crimea, the Russian army fires cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities.

But the failures of the Russians in the war against Ukraine sowed a certain panic among the military on the occupied peninsula. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, information is being disseminated among the personnel of the occupation units in Crimea that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning a counteroffensive in the Kherson region with the possibility of developing success and entering the Crimean peninsula.

Important! President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he does not plan to return the occupied Crimea by force. During a meeting with journalists, he explained that Ukraine's proposals in negotiations with Russia regarding Crimea do not mean that the topic of de-occupation of the peninsula will not be raised for 10-15 years. On the contrary, according to him, the agreement should provide that during this period the parties should resolve the issue of Crimea through diplomacy.

It should be noted that the occupiers in Crimea feared for their fate even in the first days of the war. When it became clear that the Russian blitzkrieg had failed, they began to massively export their families from the peninsula to the mainland. The property was put up for sale. True, it did not last long. Due to sanctions and a significant depreciation of the ruble, the property was removed from sale. After all, there was a problem with withdrawing money.
