Offered $20,000: propagandist Solovyov tried to order the murder of a thief in law

According to the publication, Solovyov was engaged in business in the early 1990s. In particular, he brought food and vodka from Israel.

In the 1990s, Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov wanted to order the assassination of the famous thief in law Otari Kvantrishvili for $20,000.

It is reported by The Insider with reference to former FSB officer Sergei Astashin.

Who is Otari Kvantrishvili

Otari Kvantrishvili shot the hitman in 1994. At the funeral of the criminal there were many representatives of the Russian elite: the then mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, the president of the National Sports Fund Shamil Tarpishchev, the owner of NTV Vladimir Gusinsky, State Duma deputy Iosif Kobzon, Alexander Rosenbaum, Bogdan Titomir, as well as famous athletes and artists.

According to the publication, in the early 90s, Kvantrishvili and Iosif Kobzon established the Shield and Lyre Law Enforcement Assistance Fund. Otari also created the party “Athletes of Russia”, which included Olympic champions, sambo wrestlers and boxers. He had shares in several metropolitan casinos, banks, in the transportation of oil, and, together with the crime boss Sylvester, controlled the extraction of precious metals.

Solovyov's business

According to the publication, Solovyov was engaged in business in the early 1990s. In particular, he brought food and vodka from Israel. In November 1993, Solovyov met Sergei Astashin, who at that time was studying at the Academy of the Russian Ministry of Security (now the Academy of the FSB) at the faculty of military counterintelligence.

What the ex-FSB officer says

According to Astashin, Solovyov turned to him with a request to find a killer to kill Kvantrishvili.

“I would have forgotten this story a long time ago, but one day in some program I saw Solovyov begin to say:“ I was in business, I never paid anyone, and if we were run over, the guys and I took machine guns. infuriated,” says Sergey Astashin.

Astashin was then friends with Kirill Raikov, who worked as a courier for Solovyov and delivered goods. Raikov asked Astashin to check for bugs in Solovyov's office.

“I took the equipment, went and found the bugs. While I was working, Solovyov was sitting in a long black cashmere coat. I remember he had a Swiss watch, and he looked at mine and said that it was cheap. These watches were handed to me and four other employees as a reward. Solovyov paid me 200 bucks,” Astashin recalls.

A few days later, Solovyov turned to Astashin and asked him to “find the shooter” to kill Otari Kvantrishvili. For the fulfillment of this order, Solovyov first offered 10 thousand dollars, but then he was ready to pay 20 thousand.

After the conversation, Astashin wrote a report about the incident to his boss. But no criminal cases were filed against the future propagandist. Astashin suggests that Solovyov could have been recruited into the FSB to hush up his attempt to negotiate a contract killing.

“The fact that the office could bend him under him is one hundred percent. You have to be a complete idiot to miss such a chance. See for yourself how many bright stars there were on television at that time. Where are they now? rushing, “says the ex-FSB officer.

He does not rule out that the “criminal authority” was nevertheless “removed” on Solovyov's tip.

“Soloviev didn’t meet with me anymore. When I found out that Kvantrishvili had been killed in the spring, I went to the head of the course. And they almost gave me a slap on the back of the head, they said: “Get out of here. Forget all about it. It doesn't concern you anymore,” he added.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian propagandist Solovyov was disgraced because of the photo of his model son. A photo of Solovyov's son with a manicure and a stylish hairstyle was published on the Web (photo). When Solovyov calls for conscripts to go to war, his children do not live in Russia, but in the “decaying West”, in London.
