The Ukrainian side now has issues of providing long-range missiles without a clear solution. However, some countries are already starting to talk about the possible transfer of the relevant aircraft to Ukraine.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov spoke about this Channel 24. According to him, the discourse on obtaining missiles has already begun.

Oleg Zhdanov emphasized that of all the weapons that Western partner countries provided to Ukraine, they had not previously missiles were mentioned.

It would seem that only missiles remain, he said.

According to the military expert, the West has not yet transferred missiles with a launch range of 300 kilometers in order to at least not fully, but partially receive parity weapons.

“For the 1000 km no one gives us yet, but again there is news that the UK supports the idea of transferring long-range missiles to Ukraine,” he stressed.

Moreover, according to CNN , Great Britain is even ready to provide Ukraine with missiles of its own production, which are analogous to ATACMS missiles.

“This indicates that these analogues can be used using the same HIMARS, multiple rocket launchers that are in service with Ukraine today,” Zhdanov said.

In his opinion , according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba, if the Ukrainians receive aviation and missiles, we will be able to complete the entire list of weapons that are necessary to win this war.

Oleg Zhdanov stressed that the issue of the following types of weapons is being raised. In particular, the Netherlands was ahead of the rest of the planet. Suggestions began to be heard in the Netherlands about whether it was time to transfer the F-16 fighter to Ukraine.

“The United States immediately reacted to this and said:” Of course, it's time. We do not object to our allies and partners transferring western models of aviation to Ukraine,” he said.

According to him, the transfer of the F-16 is only a matter of time.

Perhaps it is a few weeks, perhaps a few months,” he stressed.

According to Zhdanov, Ukraine will most likely receive Western aviation as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by spring.

The military expert stressed that the transfer to Ukraine German Leopard tanks are a matter of dialogue.

“By the way, I think that they will put pressure on Germany in the coming months,” he stressed.

In his opinion, the position of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz can be connected in some ways with the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I see this here as Olaf Scholz's dependence on the Russian dictator, Zhdanov emphasized.

He said if Germany does not want to transfer its tanks, then it is enough for Scholz to give permission for the transfer of Leopard tanks to a third party. This is enough for such countries as Finland, Poland, the Netherlands to be able to help Ukraine.

Germany is blocking the decision to provide tanks to Ukraine

  • On January 20, a meeting in the Ramstein format was held in Germany, at which Ukraine's allies discussed military support for our state. Leopard 2 tanks were the key issue of this Ramstein.
  • German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the Allies did not agree on tanks.
  • It was said that Germany expects the US to hand over its Abrams tanks to Ukraine, after which Berlin will unblock the supply of Leopard. But Minister Pistorius also denied this information.
  • Ukraine will still receive Leopard 2 tanks, but from Poland. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki even allowed the creation of a coalition to transfer modern tanks to Ukraine without Germany.
