An Orthodox priest was wounded as a result of shooting in Lyon, France, near a Greek church. This is reported by BFMTV on Saturday 31 October.
According to the TV channel, the attacker fled the scene. The incident happened when the priest was closing the church. An unknown person shot him twice with a hunting rifle. The victim's condition is assessed as serious.
According to preliminary data, the arrow is about 40 years old. French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen urged to avoid visiting the 7th district of Lyon. A security perimeter was installed at the scene. Police officers and rescuers are on duty.
