Today, January 21, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, together with his wife Olena Zelenskaya, said goodbye to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who died as a result of a fall helicopter in Brovary.

A photo from the farewell ceremony was published on the website of the official Internet representation of the Office of the President.

The President also posted a video from the farewell ceremony on Telegram. In his caption, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the dead for their decent work.

Pain fills the heart. Unspeakable sadness wraps the soul. Every day Ukraine loses the best sons and daughters. Thank you for your important and worthy work for the benefit of Ukraine. You are forever in our hearts. Eternal memory,” the president wrote.

Who came to say goodbye to the dead

The following also came to say goodbye to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov.

In a comment to journalists Budanov stated that he had very friendly relations with Denis Monastyrsky and other leaders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In particular, he knew Yevgeny Enin well. Therefore, the tragedy is his personal loss.
