In the Kherson region, the invaders are trying to start a new school year in local schools. Some parents are afraid of losing their children, so they are threatened by the Russians and agree to cooperate.

The occupation administration in the Kherson region since September wants to involve as many teachers and children as possible in the “educational process”. About this Channel 24 told Kherson activist Vladimir Molchanov.

The activist noted that school education is a topic for which Russians are actively campaigning in the Kherson region.

“Since September 1, when they will start the school year, they will try to open as many schools as possible, attract as many traitor teachers as possible and drive as many children there as possible,” he is convinced.

Molchanov adds that already today the occupiers are carrying out mass checks at homes, especially in villages, in order to persuade and threaten parents.

There is a lot of evidence of coercion and threats. There are many people who agreed to this coercion – for fear of losing their children. Such people, unfortunately, will be. They will sacrifice their children to the “Russian world,” the activist said.

According to him, the occupiers threaten parents with fines, deprivation of parental rights and sending their children to Russia. Families may also be evicted from their own homes.

According to Molchanov, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not quickly liberate the Kherson region from the Russians in the near future, these children may grow up to be the same traitors that the Russians raised them in the occupied part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for 8 years.

“They didn't have the technical ability to leave the 'Russian world'. I don't know how to talk to these parents later, that they would give up their children, who would be brought up in the 'Russian world' and then vote in the 'referendum'. These people are narrow-minded and not having significant social responsibility. Including to their own children,” Molchanov summed up.
