The coach from Vienna reached the third round of the Champions League qualification with the Hungarians.
With Ferencvaros Budapest, Peter Stöger is one round ahead in qualifying for the Champions League. The Viennese coach won the second leg against the Lithuanian representative Schalgiris Vilnius with Hungary's football champions on Tuesday. After 2-0 in the first leg a week ago, Ferencvaros won 3-1 away (1-0).
The goals of the Hungarians scored the Belgian Ryan Mmaee with a brace (44th, 72nd) and the Slovak team striker Robert Mak (94th). Schalgiris scored his goal only in stoppage time. Stöger, who has been the coach of Ferencvaros since June, will now face the Czech champions Slavia Prague with his team in the third qualifying round.
