Powerful earthquake in South America: killed at least 13 people

A strong earthquake in Ecuador and northern Peru killed at least 13 people. Rescuers began a search operation, because there are still people under the rubble.
It is reported by the Associated Press.
As it turned out, the earthquake, whose epicenter was recorded in the coastal Ecuadorian region of Guayas, was also felt in the neighboring country.
Peruvian Prime Minister Alberto Otarola said a 4-year-old girl died in the Tumbes region after suffering a head injury when her house collapsed.
