Cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko were evacuated from the descent vehicle of the Yu. A. Gagarin “(” Soyuz MS-18 “), which landed in the Kazakh steppe. The landing is broadcast on the Roscosmos website.

In the footage, rescuers-servicemen of the Central Military District (CVO) help Peresild and Shipenko to leave the spacecraft. They got out of the spacecraft, after which they gave interviews to reporters.

Peresild and Shipenko went into space to shoot the film “Challenge”, in total they spent 12 days in space. The Soyuz spacecraft, on which they went to the ISS, took off from the Baikonkur cosmodrome on October 5 at 11:55 Moscow time. The crew was commanded by cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. On the same day, the spacecraft docked to the Progress research module of the Russian part of the station and its crew transferred to the ISS, where the film was filmed. It will be the first cinematic work to be filmed in space. On October 17, the crew returned to Earth.

Before the flight, Shipenko and Peresild underwent special training. According to Peresild, the film crew had to go through hypoxic training (oxygen starvation), orthostol (a device for training in an inverted state, simulates a weightless situation). Classes were also held on a vestibular chair (it rotates to train the vestibular apparatus). Shipenko said that while preparing for the flight, he and Peresild were taught how to move around the station, drink, sleep, use the toilet in zero gravity.

The film “Challenge” will tell the story of a female doctor who has to go to the ISS to save the life of an astronaut. According to the scenario, she was given a month to prepare for the flight. The picture is a joint project of Roskosmos, Channel One and the studio Yellow, Black and White.
