On Friday, March 17, it will be cloudy in Ukraine. However, according to weather forecasts, no precipitation is expected in most regions.

Despite the fact that spring is moving forward, winter has finally decided to “stab” with frost. Consequently, on the night of March 17, sub-zero temperatures will be in the western regions.

Weather forecast from Ukrhydrometcenter

Light rain is expected in the eastern, most northern, central regions and Crimea at night. The rest of the day will pass without significant precipitation.

The wind will prevail north, 7-12 meters per second. The temperature at night in the western, Vinnitsa and northern regions will be from 1 to 4 degrees below zero.

At the same time, in the rest of the territory the air temperature will be 2-7 degrees Celsius. Forecasters predict that in the southern part of Ukraine the air will warm up to 12 degrees Celsius, in the Carpathians – no more than 6 degrees Celsius.

Forecasters warn of danger

On March 17, a snow avalanche danger of the 3rd level will be observed in the highlands of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In the highlands of the Transcarpathian region, a moderate snow avalanche danger of the 2nd level is possible.

In the mountains of Lviv and Chernivtsi regions, there will be a low snow avalanche danger of the 1st level.

Avalanches are possible at low additional loads, individual natural medium and large avalanches. Tourists are urged to refrain from hiking in the highlands.

Ukrainian weather forecaster Natalya Didenko published a forecast for March 17.

According to her, at night in the western regions of Ukraine frosts will be from 1 to 6 degrees. In the north – from 2 degrees of heat to 2 degrees of frost. East, south and a significant part of the center will be covered with clouds, so 3-5 degrees of heat is expected.

Didenko says that during the day the minuses will subside, so the average temperature in Ukraine will be 4-9 degrees Celsius.

Day March 17 almost everywhere in Ukraine will pass without precipitation.
