Rock musician Leslie West dies at death
American rock musician, member of the Mountain group Leslie West, died on Wednesday at the age of 76, writes Rolling Stone magazine, citing the musician's brother.
According to the newspaper, the musician died of cardiac arrest.
On Monday he was taken to a hospital in Florida with a heart attack, where he died on Wednesday without regaining consciousness.
Leslie West was one of the founders of the Mountain group, which emerged in the 1960s. He was also the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band. The band's song from the album Climbing! under the name Mississippi Queen became very popular. It was later used more than once as soundtracks in films and TV shows, including The Americans and The Simpsons.
