Roskomnadzor demands from Facebook to remove restrictions on broadcasting about Yuri Gagarin

Roskomnadzor demands from the social network Facebook to remove restrictions from the broadcast, which is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the flight into space of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

As reported in the press service of the department, in the afternoon, on April 9, Russia Today conducted a live broadcast together with Russian cosmonauts Andrei Borisenko, Sergei Ryazansky and Anna Kikina, which was broadcast on the official RT account on Facebook, but later this broadcast was blocked by the administration of the social network under a pretext for copyright infringement.

Roskomnadzor called such actions of the American social network a violation of the key principles of the free flow of information, as well as an act of censorship, which restricts “access to materials about Russia's achievements in space, the development of domestic technologies and science, which made it possible to carry out the first manned flight into space.”
