Roskomnadzor turned to Disney because of a cartoon with harmful content
Roskomnadzor sent a letter to the Disney TV channel explaining the norms of Russian legislation. The reason was the release of the cartoon Out (“Exit”), the character of which has a non-traditional sexual orientation, the ministry said.
Roskomnadzor recalled that, according to Russian law, the dissemination of information among minors that promotes non-traditional sexual relations is an administrative offense.
Roskomnadzor called on representatives of the TV channel “to prevent the dissemination of information that could harm the health and development of children.”
Cartoon Out was created by Pixar in partnership with Walt Disney Studios in 2020. The central place in the plot is the life of a same-sex couple.
On the eve it was reported that TikTok was fined 1.5 million rubles for refusing to delete information prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation. In April, the social network has already received a fine in the amount of 2.6 million rubles.
