The correction of the orbit of the International Space Station had to be postponed due to the unavailability of the American segment. This was announced on Thursday, August 19, in a statement on the official website of Roscosmos.
Initially, the ISS orbit correction was scheduled for this morning, but it was postponed to the reserve date – August 21, 2021, at the request of the American side.
– The corresponding request from the United States came due to the technical unavailability of the American segment of the station, which was reported to the Mission Control Center of TsNIIMash in the Moscow Region by representatives of the Flight Director, the flight director, the state corporation said in a statement.
We will remind, earlier it became known that the hole in the utility compartment in the Soyuz spacecraft, docked to the International Space Station in 2018, was drilled in zero gravity by a person who was unfamiliar with the structure of this spacecraft. On the eve, the general director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the state company does not accuse the American astronaut of drilling a hole in the ship.
