Rospotrebnadzor reported that it had not received complaints from residents of Crimea about the blocking of Xiaomi smartphones. According to the rules of Xiaomi, Crimea, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Sudan and the DPRK are included in the number of countries and territories where the import of its devices is prohibited without a special license. On the eve, the XDA-Developers portal, with a link to messages on its forums and social networks, reported that users of Xiaomi mobile phones from Crimea and a number of countries began to actively report on blocking devices. According to the site, a few days after purchasing a new gadget, users saw a message on the screen stating that Xiaomi's policy does not allow the sale of a product in this territory.

“There have been no complaints. When consumers contact us, an appropriate check will be carried out, ”the press service of Rospotrebnadzor told RBC.

The six countries and regions mentioned are under US export sanctions, and Xiaomi also refers to US laws. Many international companies officially refuse to do business in these territories. Xiaomi itself is not represented in the US market. Earlier, American investors were prohibited from investing in Xiaomi, but in May the company came to an agreement with the Pentagon and achieved the lifting of the ban.
