The Austrian authorities are discriminating against citizens, refusing to take into account certificates vaccinated with the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus “Sputnik V”. The Russian Ambassador to Austria Dmitry Lyubinsky caught Vienna in this on Facebook.

The diplomat pointed out that the application of the Austrian law on mandatory vaccination may create new barriers to bilateral contacts. “The decree of the Austrian Ministry of Health, which discriminates against those vaccinated by Sputnik V, raises numerous questions not only for us, but also for many Austrian business structures and the public, plus from our compatriots,” he stressed.

Lyubinsky noted that Moscow will have to figure out how the new rules may affect the possibility of business and simple human communication, complicated by the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It is difficult to look for medical considerations and logic here, because in fact no one disputes the effectiveness of Sputnik V,” he concluded.

Earlier it became known that Austria introduced mandatory vaccination against coronavirus from February 1, 2022. The law applies to all persons over the age of 18 registered in the country. People who have not yet been vaccinated need to be vaccinated against coronavirus before March 15.
