Russia established diplomatic relations with the pseudo-republics on February 22.

The Russian Federation has established diplomatic contacts with the so-called “independent” pseudo-republics of the “LDNR”.

This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The corresponding statement was published on the website of the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, February 22. It is noted that in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin dated February 21, on February 22, 2022, by exchanging notes between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the so-called “Ministry of Foreign Affairs” “DNR and OSR”, an agreement was drawn up on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and ORDLO from that date on level of pseudo-embassies.

Recall that on the evening of February 21, Putin announced the recognition of the “independence” of the so-called “DNR” and “LNR” . After the statement, the head of the Kremlin, in the presence of the leaders of the militants Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, signed a corresponding decree, as well as agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Russian Federation and the LDNR. These agreements of the Russian Federation on ORDLO were published on the basis of the State Duma on Tuesday, February 22, at night. The texts of the documents are almost identical.

The next day, February 22, the so-called “parliaments” of the “LNR” and “DNR” ratified the treaties on “friendship and cooperation” with Russia in the first reading.

Then the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, following the State Duma, voted for the recognition of the “LDNR”.
