Russian troops continue their offensive in the Bakhmut direction. The invaders are suffering serious losses – in just one day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized more than 200 invaders.

Sergey Cherevaty, speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about the situation in the Bakhmut direction on the air of the telethon. He said that intense fighting continues in Soledar.

According to Cherevaty, Russia's losses in the Bakhmut direction are extremely high, and they continue to advance on the positions of the Defense Forces literally over the bodies of previously killed Russians.

The enemy has to concentrate considerable efforts, a lot of personnel – and this is his main resource. First of all, these are assault groups that are trying one after another to overcome the resistance of the Ukrainian side and move on. This is an extensive method of warfare, leading to heavy losses of the enemy,” he said.

Cherevaty noted that the hottest sector of the front is Bakhmut, Soledar, Kleshchievka, Bakhmutovka, Disputed and other settlements. It is reported that during the day the Defense Forces eliminated 119 invaders, and another 108 invaders were injured.

“234 blows were inflicted by the enemy there in a day, there were 32 clashes, the enemy lost 119 people killed and 108 wounded only in this direction. In particular, the enemy fired at Soledar 70 times with various artillery systems,” the speaker concluded.

The defense forces destroy the Wagner PMC
