Rospotrebnadzor has begun work on a biochip for testing for coronavirus. Research is carried out by the Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

A prototype of a biochip is now being created, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported. In the course of this work, regional features of the structure of community-acquired pneumonia will be taken into account.

Work on the creation of a biochip for testing coronavirus infection is underway at the Engineering Center for Microtechnology and Diagnostics of ETU “LETI”.

Earlier, “DP” reported that the proportion of seriously ill patients in COVID-hospitals in St. Petersburg has decreased to 19%.
