Russia is stuck in Ukraine, the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense predicted the duration of the war

A faster end to the war is in the interests of Ukraine and the entire civilized world. Russia, having launched a full-scale aggression, could not conquer Kyiv in a few days, so it got stuck in Ukraine.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak, commenting on the term for the end of the war in Ukraine. He said that the war could still go on for months, because Russia was stuck in Ukraine as it was in Afghanistan in its time.

Putin's aggression has changed the security environment in the world

Blashak explained that the Kremlin regime cannot simply withdraw from the war, because then Russia would recognize the error of its decision.

It's more a matter of months rather than weeks. Russia is stuck in Ukraine, as it used to be in Afghanistan. At the same time, withdrawing from the war now would mean the Kremlin admitting its mistake and the need to answer for the consequences of this barbaric attack,” the Polish minister said.

According to him, “Putin's brutal aggression has changed the security environment in the world.” He stressed that the soonest termination of this war is in the interests of Ukraine, Poland and a just world.

Ukraine won the first stage of the war

Mariusz Blashak said that Ukraine won the first stage of this war, pushing the invaders from the North. “They (Ukrainians – Channel 24) pushed the Russians back from Kyiv, stopped them in the East and successfully hold a long front line,” the minister said.

He added that Russia had failed and the so-called “special operation”, which was supposed to end in a few days, dragged the Russians into a prolonged conflict. As Blashak said, this war discredited Russia at the international level.

The Polish minister links the failures of the Russians with the heroism and resilience of the Ukrainian people and the support of the West.

“Sustaining this support is the only way to win and maintain the fundamental principles of international law in relations between states,” Blashak concluded.

It should be noted that on March 16, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that his country would soon transfer four MiG-29 combat aircraft to Ukraine for full operation. Also, 13 MiG-29 aircraft will be received from Slovakia. However, the most important thing for Ukraine is the transfer of American F-16 fighters, which the United States has so far refused to provide to our state.
